On a found linen table cloth which the artist stretched and sized, an almost picture-story book scene of a suburban park unfolds of carefully placed trees, play equipment and paths. But amongst these is placed large, out-of-scale picnic mugs, thermos and a plate of scotch finger biscuits. The entire scene is rendered in a two tone, dry-brush style, reminiscent of the duo-colour picture books of earlier generations. Private Collection |
