Adjusting the Display Size of an Image

Any image uploaded into your galleries is automatically displayed at 400 dpi wide and therefore visitors to your site will have to scroll up and down the page to see tall thin images. The other problem this poses is when an image less than 400 pixels is uploaded it is stretched to 400 pixels wide causing a distorted image quality. This problem is easily rectified as follows:

> To resize the display size of an image:

1. Click the GALLERIES link in the YOUR WEBSITE section of your back office.

2. On the GALLERIES page click the GALLERY containing the image you would like to edit.

3. On the EDIT THIS GALLERY page Click the EDIT button beside the image you are editing.

4. On the EDIT THIS IMAGE page, change the number in the IMAGE WIDTH (PIXELS): box (try setting the image at 200 pixels wide, and then check the change in the front end).

5. Click the UPDATE IMAGE DETAILS button at the bottom of the page.

Tip 1: Always check the change in appearance by clicking on the PREVIEW MY WEBSITE button and viewing the image in your front end.

Tip 2: Visitors can still view the image at its full size by clicking on the image on the Individual Image Page. The image will then appear at its full size in a separate pop up box.
