1. Diana Heath part of Rotary Art Spectacular |
Diana Heath is taking part in this year's 32nd Rotary Art Spectacular at Riverside Centre (123 Eagle Street, Brisbane, Qld) which opens 7 April and runs to 16April. The exhibition aids the Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children as well as The Heart Foundation. Diana is also currently working on a series of etchings which will hopefully tie in with work being produced on a two week intensive printmaking workshop with Basil Hall, masterprinter, on the island of Skopelos, Greece in June 2011. |

2. Robert Brownhall set for Philip Bacon show and first survey |
Robert Brownhall has an exhibition, followed by the first survey of his work opening in Brisbane. His 2011 exhibition opens at Philip Bacon Galleries (2 Arthur Street, Fortitude Valley) on 5 April. Ph (07) 3358 3555.
It is then followed by Somewhere in the City: urban narratives by Robert Brownhall, the first survey of 20 years of his work at the Museum of Brisbane on April 15. |

4. Cairns Ink launched to promote printmaking |
Cairns Ink is a newly formed group, aiming to raise the profile of printmaking as an art form in Cairns and providing opportunities for artists by promoting their work to a wider audience.
A not-for-profit organization, Cairns Ink was launched last month (18 March 2011) at Canopy Artspace in Cairns with Laurel McKenzie, Margaret Genever and Sasi Victoire as part of the interim committee. |

Jennifer Long has had an oil painting - Marble and Flesh - selected for the 2011 Rotary Art Spectacular which runs 7-16 April at the Riverside Centre (123 Eagle Street, Brisbane, Qld) with the opening on 7 April (6-8pm). |

6. John Weeronga Bartoo at Gallery 307 |
John Weeronga Bartoo is part of an exhibition - Contemporary Aboriginal Art - running now at Gallery 307 (307 Sailors Bay Road, Northbridge, Sydney, NSW) along with noted artists Makinti and the Petyarre Family. The show runs until April 13.
John has also been invited to be a finalist in the 2011 Tattersall's Art Prize. His solo exhibition at Galleria Zero in Barcelona has been extended as has a group exhibition in Galleria Bohner in Mannheim, Germany. |

7. Nicola Moss exhibition at Salt Contemporary Art |
Nicola Moss has a new solo exhibition - Diamonds in my eyes - opening on 16 April at Salt Contemporary Art Gallery (33-35 Hesse Street, Queenscliff, Victoria. Ph:03 5258 3988) and continuing to 6 May. Through her paintings, Moss examines the importance of the natural environment and notions about what we value. With diamonds and trees both essentially being carbon, she questions, could stately trees become the bling of the future? |

8. Megan Jones set for the Calleen Art Award |
Megan Jones has just had her fourth solo exhibition - (e)utopia; because we are what we are' - at Gaffa Gallery (Sydney) which was well received. At present one of her works is showing in an exhibition in Mosman Regional Gallery, and in April, another one will be exhibited as a finalist in the Calleen Art Award, which is in the Cowra Regional Gallery. |
