Family rally behind Parkinsons' Fundraiser |
Jen Conde is exhibiting, alongside other members of her family, paintings and prints at the charity art show - Art for Parkinsons. All works at the show will be available for purchase and funds raised will go towards finding a cure for Parkinsons disease.
Exhibition opens Friday 23 March (6pm) at Three White Rooms Gallery (138 Latrobe Terrace, Paddington, Brisbane) and continues until 25 March. |

Stephen Baxter’s painting - Untitled Australian Landscape - was selected for the Stanthorpe Art Festival Art Prize which is currently on at The Stanthorpe Regional Gallery until 9 April. The 2012 festival attracted 116 artists from across the country and New Zealand, including 19 local artists. |

Nicola Moss has been accepted for two residencies this year. With one month each at Hill End and BigCi in the Blue Mountains later this year. Both locations offer ideal environments for Nicola's ongoing research and work exploring biodiversity and ecological values of the Australian landscape. Both residencies will involve engagement with local communities looking at impacts on the landscape and conservation projects. |

Adrienne Willams' new work - The Spotted Gum. From Bundanon to Bundaberg - which is currently on at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery will be moving to Doggett Street Studio on April 27. Material from a Bundanon residency and Adrienne’s new country habitat are at the core of these works and seasonal change is explored through textures, peeling spots, and creamy trunks in oil canvasses and collagraph prints. |

Jimmy Rix's commission - Sheepish - commissioned by Landcom and Blacktown Council for Merriville Rise, Kellyville Ridge (NSW) is in a public park which is a historical part of Australia's rural heritage. The machinery used in the sculpture was found on the exact site, and was originally a wool press for baling wool from the sheep raised on this property. |
