Heinz Riegler in Salzburg's Kapitelplatz |
Drawing heavily on time spent high in the Austrian alps, Heinz Riegler's new work - Auflösung - examines themes of isolation and repetition using materials mostly found in and around the Oberpleissling area of Salzburg state. The work contains six pieces which are currently in Salzburg's Kapitelplatz square until 7 September.
The other parts of the series include an album of music - Survey #2 (One Thousand Dreams I Never Had) and an award winning audiovisual piece - Motion Portrait #1.

Helena Lloyd - Artist Residency at Eumarella Shores |
Helena Lloyd is working on a 4 month artist residency at Eumarella Shores, Lake Weyba on the Sunshine Coast. She will be conducting artist workshops and producing a body of work focusing on the rich, natural, and fragile biodiversity of the area. This work will culminate in an end of year art show to be held at Eumarella Shores.

Inkmasters Print Exhibition 2012 |
Inkmasters Print Exhibition 2012 features invited artists from around the country, works created by GW Bot, Rew Hanks and Michael Kempson (who took up residencies in Cairns this year), and works by local artists who participated in the Artists in Residence workshops. Lindy Sale's exhibition - We are as clouds - imagines the beauty and oddness in nature as it adapts to a precariously balanced environment. Sue Beyer - Public Art Commissions |
Sue Beyer's work has been chosen to appear in Urban Easels, an initiative created by the Brisbane City Council, with the artist's work presented in Adshel street furniture (13 August – 9 September 2012).
Sue's work has also been profiled in the July - September (Winter) Live guide which promotes arts and cultural events, workshops and activities across Brisbane.
Sue has also been commissioned to create artworks for a new hospital expansion in South East Queensland. Woodhead Architects have designed the building which is is due to be completed in 2014. |

Milkana Kirova finishes Townsville water feature |
Brisbane-based Artist Milkana Kirova was commissioned to create the custom art panels that form the base of a water feature in Townsville’s North Shore Town Square. Milkana sculpted in clay the relief for the colour glass reinforced panels in March 2012. The Town Square was completed in July and now hosts NQ markets every fortnight. |

Tony White (pictured) has been selected as one of 40 finalists in the 2012 Sunshine Coast Art Prize 2D who will be showcased at Caloundra Regional Gallery (22 Omrah Avenue, Caloundra, Qld) from 15 August to 7 October 2012. The selected work Big But Small can be seen (and voted for the Peoples' Prize) here.
