On the Edge

This show opened at The Tanks Art Centre, Cairns on 2nd May 2008. It showcased 12 Far North Queensland artists of Torres Strait Islander/ Indigenous, migrant and mainstream cultures in Far North Queensland.
This exhibition was mounted in the spirit of reconciliation and collaboration between the different cultural affiliations that make up the character of the region and share this sentiment internationally.
In January 2009, Sasi took 'On the Edge' to India. It was exhibited at the JKK, Jaipur to coincide with the Jaipur International Literature Festival.
The show then went to the Indira Gandhi National Centre, New Delhi, where it was hosted by the Australian High Commissioner.
