Currently on display in the Ashburton Uniting Church choir in the worship centre, the painting was inspired by the short, two verse account of Jesus' time in the wilderness being tempted by Satan as found in the Gospel according to Mark, Ch 1, v12,13.

The work was created in 1990 but has not been exhibited up till now.
