A second watercolour version of Baptism at Anglesea.
The artwork celebrates the occasion of the artist’s son’s baptism at Anglesea on the Victorian surf coast in 2009. It draws links between the waters of baptism, death and resurrection; of dying to self and being reborn into the body of Christ – the church; and of our localised experience of this universal rite.
The work has been selected for the 2013 Blake Prize Director's Cut Online Exhibition.
