Night Shrines 1999

This series of works was inspired by the Melbourne real estate phenomenom of illuminating signs advertising properties for sale or auction so that potential buyers could view them after dark. The practice results in a focus on the illuminated board and brought to mind street-side shrines to patron saints that can be seen in many European and Latin American towns.
