A small square painting based on a glimpse out the car window of the prominent, rounded hill next to the Hume Highway, not far from Yass, Bowning, and the Donnelly ancestral country around Galong. The work has a bit of an Italian, early twentieth century “Futurist”, whooshing-by, feel to it so it’s dedicated to Giacomo Balla, one of the movement’s star painters, best known for painting: ‘Dynamism of a Dog on a Leash’, 1912.
