'Auflösung' [Exhibition - 2012]

Kapitelplatz Installation

Drawing heavily on time spent high in the Austrian alps, Heinz Riegler's new work 'Auflösung' examines themes of isolation and repetition. Using materials mostly found in and around the Oberpleissling area of Salzburg state, Riegler reflects upon 80 days spent in a mountain cabin during the winter of 2011. As part of a multidisciplinary series which saw Riegler compose an album of music [Survey #2 (One Thousand Dreams I Never Had), out via Room40's new A Guide To Saints label] and create an award winning audiovisual piece [Motion Portrait #1], this new work contains six pieces which will be staged in Salzburg's Kapitelplatz square until the 7th of September 2012.
